Meet Alysia, The Mind Behind
Dahir Tax & Accounting
Tax Expert, Strategist, Leader
My professional journey began in the Federal Government, working with the Department of Treasury (IRS) and the Department of Defense on both academic and military projects. Learnings and Education
Education has always been a driving force in my life. I hold an MBA in International Business and Finance, a BS in Accounting from ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business, and pursued executive education in sustainable systems and anthropology. I’m proud to be a member of several professional organizations including AICPA and the Accounting & Financial Women’s Association.
Keynote Speaker
Beyond finance, I thrive on bringing people together. I’m a TEDx Organizer and have helped curate global events like TEDxRoma and TEDxBeaconStreet. I also co-founded DQDinc, a nonprofit focused on education, and serve as Project Director for the Arizona Consortium for the Arts. Whether it’s in a boardroom or on a stage, I believe in the power of ideas, collaboration, and continuous learning.
In every role I take on, my goal is simple: to help others succeed by sharing what I know, listening to what they need, and building solutions that make a real impact.
A Mission Grounded in People
My mission is to serve with clarity, integrity, and purpose. I believe financial knowledge should be accessible, empowering, and human. For many people, finances and taxes feel overwhelming or impersonal. I want to change that. I want people to feel seen, supported, and truly understood when they step into spaces that often feel complex or intimidating.
Gradually, I’ve learned that my role is not just to solve problems, but to walk beside people through some of their most uncertain moments. Whether I’m helping an individual file a return, guiding a nonprofit through regulatory challenges, or working with a business to realign its strategy, my purpose stays the same. I show up with honesty, compassion and dedication.
As an Former IRS Agent, I know how the system works from the inside. That experience gives me the tools to advocate more powerfully for those who don’t always feel they have a voice. I’m also an educator at heart. I believe in sharing what I know, teaching with patience, and never holding back knowledge that could help someone else succeed.
